Privacy

We respect the privacy of our mailing list subscribers and those who supply information through registration or answering our surveys or emails. Your IP address may be detected and sent with your enquiry if using the enquiry forms in the shop or main website.

It is our policy:

To respect the purpose for which our site visitors gave us information. We give users choice and consent over how their personal information is used, and remove names immediately upon request.
To not sell, rent, or loan our lists to third parties for e-mail marketing.
To send out lists or periodicals only to those who request them, and immediately unsubscribe those who request it. Sometimes people subscribe for their friends, and while we cannot prevent that, we welcome any new subscribers.

We keep our subscription lists as clean as possible to prevent obsolete e-mail addresses taking unnecessary disk space or bandwidth.
To use cookies in a responsible manner to help our visitors, not snoop on them.
To store subscriber and password files with personal information in a secure manner. We store such files in areas not accessible to Web browsers, behind password protection, or off-line.

Warranty on Products:

At Scootling Ltd we endeavour to supply quality products free from any defects. However there are times when products do fail for one reason or another. Unless otherwise stated, we can only offer refunds, accept returns or respond to complaints only if the product is used in the prescribed manner, in New Zealand, and if applicable must have been fitted and ascertained fit for use by a technician or skilled person. Because of the harsh use they get, racing parts are not covered under refund policy unless faulty workmanship or construction is evident, and these claims must be made before the product is used or fitted.
Electronic items including CDIs, regulators, coils and sensors etc are tested at the factory and can not be covered under warranty due to the possibility of faults in the host bike which can instantly damage electronic parts.

Freight:

• Warranty claims from couriers must be taken up by yourself with the company concerned.
• Transit companies in New Zealand prohibit the sender to take action over damage or loss incurred over the delivery of a package. As we cannot take this action for you, it is up to you to take the required steps to action a claim.
• Ownership of goods transfer to the purchaser at dispatch.

Express Warranties/Guarantees:

• Where applicable, all manufacturer express warranties and guarantees will be taken up with the manufacturer or importing agent for that brand.
• The customer must cover all costs in freight, including responsibility for correct handling when returning a part
• Remember the defect or fault must fall in the grounds set out in the express manufacturer guarantee if attached to the products. Please ensure you follow all the guidelines set out in the express guarantees to ensure your rights are retained.
• Where not expressly stated, warranty on standard parts is six (6) months and no warranty is given on racing parts, except where faulty construction of the part is evident. Claims in this case MUST be taken up before fitment. Those parts are purchased at your own risk, as we can not govern the application those parts are used in. 
• The user manuals and fitment instructions are usually translations into English written by skilled technicians. They are intended to be as accurate as possible but some discrepancies may occur and Scootling Ltd can not be held responsible for any losses or damage arising from use of the instructions downloaded from this site. 

Claims under consumer Legislation:

• Scootling Ltd follows New Zealand consumer protection laws/requirements.
Notwithstanding the above we welcome contact regarding any concern you have about any products. Email us with date of purchase, product info and any other code numbers used in purchase, amount and type of usage the product has had, problem you have and how it developed.
• All costs of freight is at the purchaser's expense.
